Support Our Troops
www.singforpeace.com

Greatest Flag on Earth!Let’s remember our men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan who need everyday personal items that we take for granted. Unless we send these items from home, many of our troops don’t receive a Care package during their tour of duty.

Our program is currently supporting a Houston based Marine battalion of 750 stationed in Iraq and we are expanding our coverage to include other branches serving there. You can help by sending a Care package to the troops to give them a “Touch of Home” while they courageously serve our country overseas.

Visit our website to send a Care package or make a contribution to Medilife of Houston, a non-profit organization supporting our programs.
Checks should be made out to Medilife and designated for “ Sing for Peace”. Click on “Quick Instructions” for sending a package, “Supplies List” for items needed, “Adopt a Troop” for military units requiring our support and “Make a Contribution” to send a check to cover postage and supplies. Most packages cost $15-25 to send to the APO or FPO mailing address in the US.

Your help is needed to support our ongoing program to send Care Packages to our troops.

The Literacy Council of Fort Bend County (LCFBC) is committed to providing leadership to Fort Bend County literacy efforts through advocacy and the provision of services to functionally illiterate adults and those with limited English proficiency. Formed in 1987, LCFBC serves adults who have made the commitment to help themselves change their lives through literacy. Well-trained and supported volunteers work one on one with adults needing help in basic literacy and on a small group basis in English as a second language. The goals and interests of the learners as well as “real life” situations and survival skills are the focus of instruction.
