First United Methodist Church

First United Methodist Church Missouri City has expanded the worship opportunities offered to the congregation and community.

In addition to traditional worship services already offered on Sunday mornings at 8:30, 9:45 and 11:00, OPEN SKIES, a casual worship gathering incorporating contemporary music and creative media, will be the setting for worshipping God in new and fresh ways.

Join us at 8:30am in the Fellowship Hall for OPEN SKIES. First United Methodist Church is located at 3900 Lexington Blvd. at the corner of Lexington and Murphy Rd. in Missouri City. Please call the church office at 281-499-3502 for any further information.

Friends of the Arts Announces 2005-06 Concert Schedule

Friends of the Arts from First United Methodist Church Missouri City announce that the Texas A&M Singing Cadets, Rice University Philharmonics, Fort Bend Boys Choir, and seven other great performances headline the 2005-05 concert season.

Season subscriptions are now available for the 2005-06 schedule, which opens with singer, composer and recording artist Ken Medema on September 11. Adult season subscriptions are $100, and youth season subscriptions are $50. Adult season ticket holders will also be invited to attend “An Evening with Friends” event in November.

Other 2005-06 Friends of the Arts performances include the San Antonio Brass, the Rob Landes Trio, the Sweetwater Chamber Players, Barbara Johnson Tucker and A Chosen Few, Dan and Leigh Shipman, and the Houston Symphonic Band.

Now in its fourth year, Friends of the Arts is dedicated to bringing the highest quality family entertainment to Fort Bend County for a reasonable price. All performances are held at First United Methodist Church Missouri City, at the corner of Lexington Boulevard and Murphy Road.
